Molly Huggins

Molly is a Founding Partner of the boutique law firm Huggins & Zuiker, LLP, focused on providing legal services to the clinical research and life sciences industry. She serves as counsel to health care organizations and businesses involved in the performance, development, sponsorship, and oversight of clinical research. Additionally, she prepares and negotiates contracts necessary for research, including clinical trial agreements, confidentiality agreements, and investigator-initiated study agreements. She advises her clients on compliance matters related to human subjects’ protection, informed consent, privacy protections, and other regulatory matters. Molly also reviews and interprets federal and state legislation and develops operational policies and procedures for clients.

Her prior experience includes more than a decade at the firm Smith Moore Leatherwood, LLP, where she led the firm’s medical research team. Her practice focused on providing legal services to sponsors of clinical research, academic medical centers and other institutions where federally funded and privately sponsored research is conducted. She also worked with physician groups and contracting organizations involved in the development, performance and oversight of clinical studies.

She also has served as an office administrator and business manager in health care organizations prior to her legal career.
